Playtime!

Max has been in a playgroup since he was just a few months old. At first it was really just an excuse for his mama to get together with other new mamas - and boy, was that vital to her sanity! Over time the playgroup has begun to provide Max with the benefits of have peer relationships, in addition to just being able to share/play with their awesome toys! Occasionally Max has separate playdates with his buddies from playgroup.

For instance, James and his mommy came over for a playdate two weeks ago. They played with water, so we naturally stripped the boys down to their diapers. Here they are, exploring the properties of water. After James and his mommy left, I found our digital camera on the floor, dripping wet. I had left Max unattended with the toy sink to say goodbye, and apparently he wanted to see how it would fare in water. Answer: not well. This is the last photo taken on that device...

This morning, Max's playgroup had its weekly meeting at James' house. The girls (Mary and Josie) were, of course adorable, and posed for a picture:

James and Max squealed like little crazed monkeys as they hid behind a glider chair in James' room.
Elias was there too, but he just never seemed to be in the aim of the camera today. Sorry, Elias!

UPDATE:
Here's video of Max and James playing together. The first segment is from 2 weeks ago, as they played quietly after their water fun. The second half is from this morning... clearly a different energy! Was it the clothes?
