For Max's 2nd Easter we had Nana and Grandad over for a nice big meal at lunch. He had not taken a nap the day before and had some trouble sleeping the previous night, so when he was ready to go down for a nap at 11:30, there was no stopping him. He slept through lunch, which meant that we were able to enjoy our meal in a more leisurely way than if he had been present.
Soon after we ate, Nana and Mama went upstairs to rouse Max, as it had been over 2 hours and we didn't want an extra-long nap to disrupt his sleep that night. Besides, Nana and Grandad needed to get in a visit with Max before they left! Nana laid down on the bed next to Max, and after he woke up, he noticed her there and kept saying her name as he rolled over to snuggle up with her. I could see her heart melting a little :)
We went downstairs and, what do you know? The Easter Bunny had been here while he slept! It took him a few minutes to figure out that there was more than one surprise-filled plastic egg, but once he did... FUN!
