10 Months Old!

Max turned 10 months old today, and boy, it was a full day! After an uncharacteristically early nap, we went to playgroup and he gave me a huge work out, chasing after him as he tried to explore the entirety of James' house. I was so ready for a nap when we got home... and spent the rest of the afternoon wishing I had taken one with him.

This is a picture from last week of the three boys from his playgroup: James, Max and Elias. We tried hard, but it was impossible to get them to smile. They really do have lovely smiles...

Anyway, this afternoon we went with Nana to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center to try our hand at bluebonnet photos again. Here are a few results:

And finally, this evening Nana and Grandad came over for dinner and some Quality Max Time. He was more wired than I have seen him in a long time, and itching to show off! Totally unexpectedly he took 4-5 steps without holding onto anything! We didn't get any pictures or video, but it was a glorious start to his walking career (actually it kind of looked like he was stumbling forward, but I'm still a proud Mama).
