Shy. That's what Cashew was being during the 3d ultrasound this morning. We learned that he is comfy and snug inside, with his cute little head cradled in my pelvis, facing just a little too much to his left for us to get a clear view of his whole face. The right side of his face is really cute, as you can see in these still photos. Some views showed that he has adorable little cheeks and lips. The ultrasound technician said he is going to be a grinning little snuggler. :)
It seems like we tried everything to get him to turn a little more to the right, from me getting on the floor and doing a Downward Dog yoga pose (with added hip wiggle) to having Alex blow raspberries on my belly. But our little boy would not be coaxed out of the safe comfort of my pelvis. Truthfully I do want him to be in the head down position for his arrival in less than 2 months (knock on wood), so I'm not entirely upset about his seemingly favorite position.
We have a DVD that was made from the 3d ultrasound session, but the video is a little blurry after having been converted to a format for web viewing. Alex may play with that some more, but in the meantime, here it is.
