Max Gets Kicked off a Fire Engine

On Monday our MOMS Club chapter had scheduled a tour of a local firestation for the kiddos. Max is quite fond of firetrucks, so I was really excited about taking him. I had to wake him up from his nap and he was not too happy about it, but once we got there and he saw the red fire engine... well, his attitude changed quickly.

Everything went fine until a nice firefighter offered to let him sit in the passenger's seat. I warned the nice unsuspecting man that Max gets into things a lot, but he responded that he has 3 boys at home - so I handed Max over. Just as Firefighter Harris finished saying that everything was turned off so he couldn't hurt anything, Max lunged toward the laptop. The fireman said, "woa, wait! not that!" (he was probably looking for an Abby or Elmo video)

Then Max lunged in another direction and again his holder cried out, "oh, not that either!"

After the third attempt by Max to touch something cool-looking, Firefighter Harris gave in and said "well, maybe that's enough" and handed Max back to me. Max wasn't happy about it so we moved on to looking at the front of the fire engine in an attempt to distract ourselves from the off-limits coolness inside the vehicle.

So, that's how Max got kicked off a fire engine.
