Well, the baby is now official!
Both sets of parents came to our house for Christmas dinner and while we were waiting for the turkey to cool enough for carving, Alex and I presented them with three identical presents. The first was Irish pottery and the second a Waterford snowflake ornament, both purchased during our honeymoon trip. The third was an unexpected picture of the Cashew in a special "grandkids" frame. It was so much fun to watch the expressions on our moms' faces as they came to understand what they were holding in their hands!
Needless to say, much hugging, laughing and excitement followed. Any plans we had for keeping Alex's parents entertained during their visit will now be modified to include maternity clothes shopping and baby gear exploring.
